Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), cancer accounted for 7.4 million deaths—about 13 percent of all deaths—worldwide. The organization anticipates that cancer deaths will continue to rise, foreseeing an estimated 12 million deaths due to cancer in 2030.

VBL Therapeutics is committed to developing first-in-class treatments for cancer that will offer new hope to patients and their families. Leveraging our innovative, proprietary, award-winning VTS™ (Vascular Targeting System) platform technology, we have discovered and progressed VB-111, first-in-class dual therapy (both anti-angiogenic and vascular disruptive agent, or VDA), into clinical trials and expect to launch Phase 2 clinical trials in 2010 in both thyroid cancer and glioblastoma multiforme, the most common and most aggressive type of primary brain tumor in humans.
